TURKISH COMMUNITY IN KYRGYZSTAN
Turkey and Kyrgyzstan share a deep-rooted historical connection that dates back to the era of the Turkic tribes. Both countries are part of the Turkic world, which has fostered a sense of historical bond between them. The relationship between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan was formally established after Kyrgyzstan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize Kyrgyzstan's independence, and since then, the two nations have developed a robust partnership encompassing various fields such as politics, economics, education, and culture.
I've met several locals who studied at Kyrgyz-Turkish high schools across Kyrgyzstan and were taught the Turkish language at a young age. In addition, many went to Turkey to attend university and further their education.
